Founded in 2015 by Freddie Cowan, the premise of Basic Rights was to create clothing for modern creative life. That idea was born in the recording studio, specifically in New York, while recording English Graffiti with The Vaccines.
Over the years since, we’ve made some clothing that we’re truly proud of, clothing that delivered on the original idea. Simple, iconic and quality clothing, that would allow creatives to get on with the good business of creating things.
However next weekend is truly the final time to ever purchase Basic Rights - the time has come for us to close our doors and focus on the next creative endeavour.
The sale will include samples from our best-selling patterns and the last few remaining items from our seasonal and core collections.
